"My music career is the culmination of a fairly common path," jokes Texas-born, NYC-native BRET MOSLEY, "before making that first record, I did the usual things: ranch hand, linebacker, fur trapper, ballet dancer, stockbroker, actor, computer programmer, Pilates instructor & art handler."

The diverse journey from small Texas desert town to New York's indie music scene informs Mosley's sound, which described as, " more country than R&B, no more folk than rock."

Nomadic beginnings prepared Mosley for years of constant touring following the release of his debut album, 'Light & Blood'—which NeuFutur Magazine commended as "a heart-felt masterpiece".

The veteran road warrior has more than 2000 headlining dates under his belt, and has opened for notable international artists Trombone Shorty, Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk, George Porter, Jr., Jackie Greene, Kaki King, and The Blind Boys of Alabama, among others.

He has followed up Light & Blood with two studio releases: Charge, in collaboration with indie/jam rocker Jerry Joseph—and his self-released EP, X-ING. Mosley is currently producing a new solo album recorded in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Since immigrating to Australia in 2014, Mosley has shared the stage with prominent Aussie artists Ian Moss, The Pierce Brothers, Tex Perkins, Kallidad, Minnie Marks, Morgan Bain, The Hussy Hicks, Blue Shaddy, et al.

Now building touring momentum down under, Mosley has been a standout at the Nukara Music Festival, and played to capacity crowds at the 2016 Blues at Bridgetown Festival.
